When I first saw this original
Carol Day comic by
David Wright, I didn't think much about it. Then I took a closer look and was amazed by the brush techniques used. It's impossible to look at these and not get pulled in by the detail of the art in that first panel. Zoom in and check out the amazing brushwork. These go beyond textbook inking techniques.
It's amazing to think that a comic strip with this much detail would hold up when reduced and printed on newsprint.
Wright is said to have used a #2 Sable for inking.
