Portrait

This is a watercolor of my wife. It's very hard for me to do her justice.
I've hardly touched my watercolors during the past year. Trying to get back into the swing of things.

  1. Cool, Ted. I'm drawn to how detailed you get around her glasses and then just totally loosen up outside. I'm constantly amazed at how flexible your talent is. I could never do anything like this.

  2. This is beautiful.
I know how hard it can be to do a portrait of someone close to you. Especially someone who cooks your dinner and can slip anything into your mac & cheese while you're not looking.

    Great job!!

  3. This is the first one I've ever done of her. It's taken from a photo of course. I have been scared to death for years to do something like this! although I've wanted to do a nice portrait of her, since forever. I've made a couple of attempts previously, but couldn't do it.

It's funny the things you have to get right, and the things that don't really matter.
