Girl and Dragon

Watercolor that I spent most of the day on yesterday. Parts are okay, parts I don't like. The background is a mess and I'd re-do that if I could. But might be a story idea here.

  1. The text on the left is a little hard to read as white, but overall this is amazing and one of your very best pieces of art. You have a great ability to really get detail into your paintings.

Awesome job! You should be proud of this.

  2. Gee whiz, thanks, Stacy. I appreciate the good words.

This is probably the first time I've ever been able to just finish a piece like this without any interruptions. Probably why it's a little more detailed than what I usually do. I wish I could have figured out a better way to do the background, though.

It was just me and my lonesome self. I'm not used to all that quiet at all. I kept thinking how cool it would be if there were other artists in the other cabins. We should do this sometime. I think Wes should see what hills and pine trees look like sometime, too.

Oh, and on the way back, I saw the biggest darn ground hog, at least two feet tall. Just standing up next to the road. Weather has been springish here the last couple days, so maybe he was thinking that Phil was right after all.

  3. The dragon is awesome!
