One of my resolutions is to get a tablet pc. I am seeing so much incredible digital art, I'm just itching to try it myself. I worked on something tonight, and I think I took it about as far as I can with this old mouse. My wrist feels like an elephant has been sitting on it.
i like how you play with light in her eyes and on her lips. I wish I could find a way to do that effect with watercolors.

When I'm working with watercolors, I always keep a tube of white acrylic nearby for adding highlights. Straight, it's great for the eyes, and watered down it's good for lightening up areas. I'll mix a little watercolor with it when I don't want plain white.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, Ted!
ReplyDeleteSanta left Corel Painter in my stocking and I can't wait to play around with it and see if I can do something worthwhile.
this is incredible! absolutely gorgeous.

If the tablet is too expensive, the Graphire is only about $100...I have been loving mine!
ReplyDeleteif you'll be using a tablet, there's a tip that i learned myself:
ReplyDelete- use a paper handkerchief under your hand while using it the mouse or the pen. it prevents the mouse's felt being dirty as the antique mouse's balls.
- and quick clean the tablet and the felt of the mouse with a dry fabric before every use.
i started doing this at home when the work's mouse tablet was already dirty and hard to clean.
nice blog! :)
